Privacy policy

What we collect

From carriers (our customers): company name, user names and email addresses, load documents you upload or forward (rate confirmations, bills of lading), broker contact details on those documents, and billing details handled by Stripe.

From drivers: name, mobile number and email address, entered by your dispatcher. When dispatch schedules you on a load we send a link before the appointment, and again if you have not tapped after the appointment time or when free time runs out. If you tap the link we record the tap times and any photo of the bill of lading you choose to send; those taps are what open and close the detention window. The page does not read your phone's location, we do not track you between facilities, and we do not collect anything from your truck or your ELD. Reply STOP at any time to stop the texts, or HELP for contact details. We never sell driver phone numbers, and we do not share them with anyone for marketing.

From brokers: when a broker opens a claim page or notice we record the time it was opened and any approval or dispute they submit.

How we use it

To record when a truck arrived at and left a facility, to notify the broker before free time expires, to generate detention claims and proof packs on the carrier's behalf, to send reminders, and to run the service (billing, support, security). We send product usage events to PostHog and error reports to Sentry; neither receives documents or driver photos.

Retention

Arrival and departure records are kept with the claim for as long as the account exists, because they are the evidence. Driver links expire 72 hours after they are sent. Documents, photos and claims are deleted when the company deletes its account. Audit logs of account actions are kept for 2 years.

Sharing

We share claim details with the broker you direct us to send them to. We use Stripe (payments), SendGrid or Resend (email), Twilio (text messages), Amazon S3 (document storage) and our hosting provider to run the service. We do not sell data.

Your rights

Owners can export claims as CSV, delete individual users, and delete the whole company account from Settings, which permanently removes all data. Drivers can ask their carrier or email lyasin@waitstamp.com to have their photos and link records deleted. California residents have the rights described in the CCPA/CPRA; we honor them for everyone.
